Pompeo, like U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, is an evangelical Christian.

And both Pompeo and Pence, like the majority of evangelical Christians, are also “Christian Zionists” — that is, they believe that the Second Coming of Christ is predicated on the Jewish people occupying all of the Holy Land.

For a Christian Zionist, this would necessitate both supporting Israel in countering whomever they see as an enemy, and also in closing out any possibility of Palestinians achieving a state …

You manage to be right and wrong all at once.

You’re right that the Jews occupying Israel is important in evangelical eschatology. Where you and so many people are wrong is in thinking, we think, that God needs our ‘help’ in that regard.

If it’s God’s will that the Jews are going to remain in Israel he doesn’t need me or Pompeo lol. Neither are they going anywhere by anyone else’s will and if it were me, I wouldn’t mess with them. Not that Israel is right all the time [they are obviously aren’t] but the people/groups/countries that are out to annihilate them will very likely find themselves on the wrong side of history.

And that’s happen once already in the last 100 years.

I happen to agree that God doesn't need any help. That's why I'm not a Christian Zionist nor do I believe the Scofield heresy.


BTW, Lord Balfour was an ardent Christian Zionist and Christian Zionism was promoted and paid for by Samuel Untermyer..
