I do not see how you continue to lie.
Two days after the President directed McGahn to have the Special Counsel removed, the President made another attempt to affect the course of the Russia investigation.

He didn't fire Mueller. The investigation went on unhindered. The conclusion of the investigation is that there was NO coordination of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. END of STORY.

First, if he thought the investigation was bogus (which it was) then it is not illegal to tell council to shut it down. Second, if he truly was adamant about shutting it down as McGhan states, it is remarkable that the investigation continued after McGahn resigned. So did McGahn's replacement not get the same 'order'?

Why did McGahn? Oh wait, we have two versions of the conversation... both could be telling the truth. McGahn thinks Trump was clear enough that he wanted him fired, Trump thinks he was pushing to make sure the conflicts were pushed, but did not think he 'ordered' him to be fired.
Bottom line, you are assuming he lied.

Your analogies are superfluous and absurd. He didn't HIRE anyone to do ANYTHING. He asked someone to fire the Special Counsel, which he was then advised he should not do. He didn't.
Here is the part of the Mueller report that is lacking; was there any investigation conducted into the LEAKS to the WaPo and NYT that caused the President to even get this riled up? I mean, if you are a sitting President and the media leaks pure, unadulterated crap out, wouldn't you want to fire someone and investigate who is doing this?

Even if Trump specifically asked for McGahn to get Rosenstein to fire Mueller, that is a discussion Trump can have. McGahn was his counsel. If McGahn resigning made Trump realize he couldn't do it or if subsequent counsel convinced him not to, the point is that Trump did not get Mueller fired.
