There is a lot more he could have done, for instance he fought tooth and nail to prevent stop and search of knife and acid crime suspects. There are precious few people in London that have a good word for him, but I doubt that you'll believe me.

I have no reason not to believe you... While we have often disagreed, for the most part we have done so amicably....
They did that in NYC & it was popular w/ some & not so much w/ those being searched...
Had the program been implemented evenly or fairly it prob wouldn't have been so despised, but it wasn't.
Also I think the laws there are different as to arbitrary, unreasonable police search & seizure (although maybe not so much in practice.).
