Racism is a disease
Yeah, I left the Republican Party in 2008 after Bush Jr. destroyed the economy with his American Dream Downpayment Act that caused the mortgage crisis.

Columnist and commentator also has some surprising thoughts on which presidential candidates will better for conservatism.

The Republican Party was for decades the party of conservative ideas, but longtime conservative columnist and TV commentator George F. Will said the GOP has abandoned those tenets to support President Donald Trump.

“It’s become a cult ― it’s become a cult because of an absence of ideas,” he said Wednesday on MSNBC. “Because they’ve jettisoned the ideas.”

Then he gave one example of how quickly they’ve sold out a once-core principle to appease Trump:

“For years, decades, all the 20th century almost, conservatives said, ‘We’re for free trade.’ Trump said, ‘By the way, you’re not anymore.’ And they said, ‘OK, we’re not for free trade anymore,’ or they pretend to be.”
Instead of free trade, Trump has pulled out of trade agreements and is engaging in trade wars with nations such as China and Mexico.

“Conservatism has an enormously long and distinguished pedigree of ideas. It has a momentum into the future given by these ideas,” he said. “And they did not go away and they have not been refuted by the 45th president.”

Will also had a surprising answer when asked which presidential candidate would be best for conservatism: Any of the current Democratic candidates... as long as the Senate remains under Republican control.

“A Republican Senate would virtually block legislative change,” he said. “And it would take the Republican Party away from its current identification with someone who is in temperament and in most policies not conservative.”

Will left the Republican Party in 2016 as the GOP embraced Trump.

“This is not my party,” he said at the time.

He is now listed as “unaffiliated.”

Buckley would most likely echo George Will's sentiment. Some Republicans have spoken out like Flake and Coker. I'd like to hear more from Mitt Romney.

But, you know the Radicalized right wing Extremists will now jump all over Will and call him a far leftist. That's their gameplan even though its a lame and overused one.

The really weird thing is that posters who 24 months ago were relentlessly trying to put distance between Trump and the Republican party by hollering "Trump is a Democrat!" - "It's democrats voting for Trump in GOP primaries!" - "I don't support Trump!"...

...are now actually the posters who are spending countless hours and pouring every fiber of their being into defending, supporting, or providing cover for Trump.

That is exactly why I have an informal name for them:
I don't support Trump Trump-supporters.

What is this we hear about you cyber-stalking women?

Will is a media elite, and remaining part of that elite is much more important to him than any bought of Constitutional conservatism that he may have.

Will is a long time voice and defender of conservative values. He has been the real brain of the right. There is no righty on this board that has the qualifications or the background to dismiss him. He is disgusted by Trump and ashamed of the party that gave up to Trump without a fight. He has a problem, he is honest in a party that does not respect that.

LIE and LAME; you were never a Conservative and the American Dream Downpayment Act had NOTHING to do with the mortgage implosion. LINK us up to any credible evidence you're not a lying buffoon.

Good ole George. You like George now don't you. I can see why. George Will is a left leaning sucker. He opines for the days when Republicans were a permanent minority in the Congress.

No thanks Georgie Porgie. Those days are forever gone.

For SIXTY-TWO years, from 1933 until BillyBob Clinton's philandering Presidency and Obama's reign of error and malaise, Democrats ruled the Congress for ALL but FOUR of those years splitting it with the Senate for 16 years.

During that time, we had the most massive run-up of deficit and debt paying for the war on poverty which did nothing more than create an entire Government dependent class.

So Georgie; take you FAKE Conservative RINO bullshit, and shove it where the sun will never shine again. ;)

As if you would know or care. Buckley would be embarrassed for Will. Not me; I say God speed over to the Party of the Jackass Georgie Porgie; we don't need any more RINO's opining to return us to the permanent minority party.

Buckley would most likely echo George Will's sentiment. Some Republicans have spoken out like Flake and Coker. I'd like to hear more from Mitt Romney.

WRONG; but then, when do you get anything right? But I am glad you brought up these other RINO's; one thing you can be sure about. They are either gone from office, or soon to be gone.

I understand why you like RINO's. They want to return to the days of permanent minority status of the Republican Party in Congress. I don't think most of us TRUE Conservatives want that. Only liberals like you who pretend to be former Conservatives.

But, you know the Radicalized right wing Extremists will now jump all over Will and call him a far leftist. That's their gameplan even though its a lame and overused one.

Ironic; you are responding to, and agreeing with, a radicalized left wing extremist. I guess that makes you one as well. Yay you!

Unfortunately they don't care, hell most of them don't even know who he is, who Goldwater is...... They care who trump is, that is sadly all that matters...

Will, Brooks, Krystal have had their party taken from them & there isn't anything they can do about it...

LIE and LAME. This is what we have come to expect from Marxist dunces like you however so there is that.

Will is a long time voice and defender of conservative values.

Says who? YOU? The FAKE Media? :rofl2: STFU

He has been the real brain of the right.

Says who? YOU? The FAKE Media? :rofl2: STFU

There is no righty on this board that has the qualifications or the background to dismiss him.

But a brain dead clueless leftist like you has the qualifications to define him and the right? STFU! Dunce.

He is disgusted by Trump and ashamed of the party that gave up to Trump without a fight. He has a problem, he is honest in a party that does not respect that.

He has a problem alright; he's a moderate idiot who would love for the party to go back to the 62 years of minority status it had listening to jerks like him.

Unfortunately they don't care, hell most of them don't even know who he is, who Goldwater is...... They care who trump is, that is sadly all that matters...

I remember Goldwater; another Republican who lost badly in his bid for President. He carried a measly 6 states.

George Will opines for the days where Republicans were a permanent minority. Those days are gone forever now, so Georgie Porgie bloviates like his liberal pals. They love their echo chambers.

Will, Brooks, Krystal have had their party taken from them & there isn't anything they can do about it...

WRONG; but I am amused when leftist liars opine on behalf of quasi-Conservative journalists. It's a hoot! These douche bags were the reason the Republican Party was a permanent minority class for 62 years.

No more. I know, you would love for Republicans to follow Romney and become permanent minorities again. I don't think we on the Constitutional Conservative right want that. ;)

I doubt he ever was, he most certainly aint now..

He probably struggles to afford decent clothes to wear to those interviews...
