Surprise! Surprise! Trump's "Mexico deal" is 100% bullshit!

Mexico simply saw that our Dear Leader had---once again---painted himself into a corner. Having pulled the tariff threat out of his ass with no planning, no consultation with staff or the business community and no understanding of what the effects might be, he faced an unprecedented revolt by the GOP.

Mexico understood that, unless Trump was given some excuse to claim victory, he would proceed with the damaging tariffs. So, they gave him that excuse. They agreed to "take unprecedented action" to reduce illegal immigration. This classic nothingburger is now touted by his deranged cult members as a true Big Fucking Deal. And, sadly, many "journalists" are treating it as a BFD.

But, hey---it did distract from the Mueller report, the contempt proceedings and the video of him showing his ass to the world in front of rows of white crosses in France. "Mission Accomplished". lol

Well, no.

“I love this. It just makes me wonder why no one has ever even bothered to try before... Other than the obvious which is our previous leaders had no business leading anything.

‘Mexico national guard to deploy on southern border from Monday: “

“MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico’s National Guard will begin deploying on Mexico’s southern border with Guatemala from Monday to contain the flow of migrants headed to the United States, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Friday.

“Speaking after Washington and Mexico announced a deal to avert a trade war by stemming a surge of mostly Central American migrants, Ebrard said the accord did not contain a proposal made by the Trump administration to return asylum seekers from Guatemala to Mexico, and Honduran and Salvadoran asylum seekers to Guatemala.”

SURPRISE!! SURPRISE!! MORE MADEUP BULLSHIT....from one of the usual JPP left sources.

THE ACTUAL FACTS:

Under a joint agreement released by State Department officials, Mexico will assist the United States in curbing migration across the border by deploying its national guard troops through the country, especially its southern border.

The deal also expands a new program called Migrant Protection Protocols, allowing U.S. immigration enforcement officials to send Central American migrants to Mexico as their asylum claims are pending .

I don't trust the Mexicans, and I consider their "deal" a precursor to a justifiable invasion of their sad little shithole by US troops to enforce the agreement.

Reuter’s

‘Mexico national guard to deploy on southern border from Monday: “

The Mexicans are incompetent at best, Earl, and it's doubtful they can stem the overland exodus from South and Central American shitholes even if they want to - and I don't believe they want to.

America must invade Mexico (as US troops did in 1916) to restore the rule of law.

"The operation was successful in finding and engaging the Villista rebels, and in killing Villa's two top lieutenants, the revolutionary himself escaped and the American army returned to the United States in January 1917. Conflict at the border continued, however, and the United States launched several additional, though smaller operations into Mexican territory until after the American victory in the Battle of Ambos Nogales, leading to the establishment of a permanent border wall."

Perhaps, Legion.

We will have to see the results.

No results...invade.

World leaders know Trump is a chump, and is so eager to be able to claim victory on Fox News that he will cave to anything that looks like "victory" on paper to his dim-witted base.

"Great news folks! North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat!"

- Donald Trump, June 2018

What a liar Swampy Don is.

It sounds like Swampy Don knew the gig was up when his own party was in revolt against him over the tarriffs, and he quickly invited some Mexican diplomats to show up and sign a piece of paper with some meaningless platitudes and words on it. Just to be able to claim victory on Fox News, and avoid further embarrassment by the revolt within his own party.

That is a meaningless and symbolic deal the Mexicans are going to take any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

Yeah...it "NEVER HAPPENED"....

Trump still hangs tariff threat over Mexico despite deal

STERLING, Va. (AP) -
President Donald Trump on Sunday dangled the prospect of renewing his tariff threat against Mexico if the U.S. ally doesn't cooperate on border issues, while some of his Democratic challengers for the White House said the last-minute deal to avert trade penalties was overblown.

In a series of tweets, Trump defended the agreement heading off the 5% tax on all Mexican goods that he had threatened to impose Monday, but he warned Mexico that, "if for some unknown reason" cooperation fails, "we can always go back to our previous, very profitable, position of Tariffs."

Still, he said he didn't believe that would be necessary.

~Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan, speaking on "Fox News Sunday" insisted "all of it is new," including the agreement to dispatch around 6,000 National Guard troops - a move Mexico has described as an "acceleration."

"This is the first time we've heard anything like this kind of number of law enforcement being deployed in Mexico to address migration, not just at the southern border but also on the transportation routes to the northern border and in coordinated patrols in key areas along our southwest border," he said, adding that "people can disagree with the tactics" but that "Mexico came to the table with real proposals" that will be effective, if implemented.
