'I'm outraged at Boeing:' Why pilots are suing over the 737 Max

Boeing Inc. (BA) is facing a class action from a Canadian pilot claiming the company engaged in an “unprecedented cover-up” with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration related to the 737 Max that damaged the professional and personal lives of more than 400 Max-certified pilots.
Plaintiffs lawyers say Boeing can expect more pilots to file suit.

The plaintiff and purported class members — pilots employed by an unidentified international airline (“Airline X”) — say they continue to suffer significant lost wages as a result of the worldwide grounding of Boeing’s 737 Max series aircraft, as well as emotional harm.

“I think people do need to appreciate what the two step process was here. When we speak to pilots, initially, they're not talking about money, they're not talking about lost wages. When we spoke to a pilot this morning the first words out of his mouth were, ‘I'm outraged at Boeing,’” Patrick Jones, one of the lawyers for the plaintiffs, told Yahoo Finance.

IAG intend to buy up to 200 737 Max planes. Willy Walsh is an ex-737 pilot and nobody's fool.

Speaking on the announcement, the CEO of IAG, Willie Walsh told how: “We’re very pleased to sign this letter of intent with Boeing and are certain that these aircraft will be a great addition to IAG’s short-haul fleet.” Before adding: “We have every confidence in Boeing and expect that the aircraft will make a successful return to service in the coming months having received approval from the regulators.”

The deal is at giveaway prices- a desperate cook-up between Boing and a corporate risk-taker . It's a certainty that there are clauses which will crucify Boing if so much as a door-handle comes off.

Boing might not survive anyway- following the charges brought by the representatives of the hundreds of passengers it has, allegedly, killed.

US regulator cites new flaw on grounded Boeing 737 MAX

Fixing the problem will further delay the plane's return to the skies after two deadly crashes, sources say.

The US Federal Aviation Administration identified a new risk that Boeing must address on its beleaguered 737 MAX aircraft before the grounded jet can return to service.

The risk was discovered during a simulator test last week and it is not yet clear if the issue can be addressed with a software upgrade, or will require a more complex hardware fix, sources with knowledge of the matter said on Wednesday.
