NashvillePost.com has learned that senior campaign officials from the Barack Obama Presidential campaign are being dispatched from various locations around the country and are converging in Indianapolis for a “major event” to take place on Saturday.
Saturday is the same day that Obama is expected to make his first public appearance with his yet to be announced vice presidential running mate. Indiana is the home state of Democratic Senator Evan Bayh, widely considered to be on the short list of Democratic vice presidential contenders....
If he picks Bayh, he's lost his mind. Don't they poll? Who is excited about that guy?
For the Midwest, it would signify a moderating force in the campaign, not that Obama has been coming across as a raging lefty. Hell it is hard from day to day to figure where he stands on anything. I sent another letter to the campaign today restating my opposition to Kaine and how it will cost him the majority of the Clinton supporters that have been assured of his commitment to a womans right to choose ( i know I know to murder her baby) would be sacrosanct to the obama campaign. Bayh is a good safe choice but I like Biden better. Hillary would probably be best, but like I said before you can't chose someone that said your opponent would be better suited to the job than you. SOmeday the Dems are going to adopt the eleventh commandment that thou shall not speak ill of a fellow party member. But Hillary fucked herself out of the VP slot when Obama started winningIf he picks Bayh, he's lost his mind. Don't they poll? Who is excited about that guy?

At this point I would agree. And it would probably be worth trying to rectify it. Having her come out and say "you know, sometimes in the heat of a political campaign you say stupid things and I have said nothing stupider than that John McCain would be a better CiC than Barack Obama."It's really too bad, because that's the unbeatable ticket.

Who is Obama's vp choice.
I go with Biden at this point. He needs a sharp tounged person with forign policy experience.
Did you watch that Jamacan (sp) guy break the 200m world record?
I would agree accept that Obama is getting his ass kicked by McCain and his attacks. He needs a big ass kicker, and I think that comes down to Biden and Hillary.
Biden is too loose of a cannon......his mouth goes off before he thinks. Hillary would undermind him every chance she got, so she could run in 2012. I would have loved to seen Jim Webb considered.

I expect a lot of people to be surprized with who he picks. It should defy the pundits who think he should pick a Veep that will win him a strategic state, like Indiana, or a strategic constituency, like women or someone with experience in areas he's lacking to balance the ticket.
I don't think he'll do any of those. I think he'll pick a Veep that he's comfortable working with and who has the ability to advance an agenda.
I would dearly love to see him pick Mark Warner.
