It's more if something is said they disagree with it's considered racist.

Can't count the number of time a statement in opposition to Obamacare was made, having nothing remotely related to race as part of it, yet the claim of racism was made as to why the opposition existed.

It's the same with the voter ID opposition of the left. They're first, last, and only claim is that it's intended to restrict the voting ability of blacks and the poor.
