why cant we agree on what is racism?

Answer: Because liberals don't know what the difference between bigotry, discrimination, and racism is.
When you dilute the meaning of a word, don't be surprised when it no longer means what you thought it did.

Marking it out and putting some nigger dancing across the screen doesn't change that it's been proven.

What's ironic is that you picked one whose own baby daddy, in typical fashion for his kind, wasn't around.

Or does the right claim that there is no real racism in this nation?

If you really want to discuss, why don't YOU provide examples for people to discuss?

The reason people don't always agree is that some people (like YOU) run around screaming racism every time a disagreement involves people of different ethnicity.

It is also a subjective term based on individual points of view. Some things are going to be blatant, where the vast majority would agree. Others are more subtle and you get varied opinions.

You accuse people of being racists non stop on this board. You never back up your claims. You are a hate filled loser who simply wants to project your hate on to others.

They think Hispanics are a race.

I don’t. It’s why I use bigot when addressing some of the posters.

Prejudice and discrimination are more precise terms. A person can be prejudiced but not discriminate.

Racism is so broad and is applied to race, ethnicity, religion, nationality.....

And the politically correct definition says racism requires prejudice + power and that means a minority cannot be racist and a woman cannot be sexist--a definition few would agree with.

No, bigot works fine
: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudicesespecially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (such as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

There are five types of racism. Most people aren’t aware of that. It isn’t just based on intolerance and power.

who should be allowed to determine what is an incident of racism?

lets examine some current incidents and look at WHO calls it racism and who says its not an example of racism.

can you republicans give us an example of a current event you agree had elements of racism in it

Because too many people use it as an insult.

'Racism' and 'bigotry' have a very specific meaning related to a logical fallacy.

In logic, there is a fallacy known as a compositional error. It works like this:

You have a bag of marbles. You pull out a white marble. You pull out a 2nd marble and it's also white. You conclude the bag contains nothing but white marbles.
The equation for this fallacy is ((A)->pA & (A)->pA)->(A=>pA)

The thing you are examining is marbles. That is the class of the object. The property you are examining is the color. By making such an erroneous conclusion as a proof, you wrong, since the bag may contain marbles of any color. You just don't know it. You simply assume all of them are white.

The compositional error in and of itself is a fallacy (an error in logic, similar to a math error). If the class is people, then the error is also called 'bigotry'. If the property is a genetic trait and is being used to denigrate the class, then the error becomes 'racism'.

No event is racist or bigoted. The error is formed out an erroneous conclusion caused by extending the properties of a class improperly to all object of that class or to the class itself.

Thus, to say that a man is 'white' or 'black' is simply noting a property. That is not racist. To use a word in a derogatory manner such as 'cracker' or 'nigger' is racism, even though 'nigger' simply means 'black'. It is the derogatory intent that is important here.

can you think of one single incident in the current news that DOES reflect racism?

The assumption that Trump made a racist remark in a tweek (when none was made), since that in and of itself must present a racist model to accuse Trump of. It is the news, the Democrats, and other liberals that is being racist.

Or does the right claim that there is no real racism in this nation?

There's plenty of it. Every race has individuals in it that condemn another race just on the property of skin color. It crosses all political boundaries.

That said, it is the Democrats and other liberals that constantly make race an issue politically. That in and of itself is racism.

Bigot is a good term. It eliminates (just) race and includes examples of bigotry such as a person's political beliefs and affiliations, the region of the country they are from, and other examples of bigotry we see that have nothing to do with race.

There is nothing to debate. Trump is a racist and so are many of his supporters.
It is not misused, it is not fallaciously asserted. It simply is. That it is an insult is not
our problem. If you are insulted, good. Maybe there is hope for you.

Still waiting for you fake lawyer or ANY left winger on this board to prove that with fact. So far, nothing but your usual bullshit.

What percent of white people do you think are racist?

Most certainly not you or most democrats. To and them everyone disagrees with you or dares disagree with a black person is a racist.

No one even cares about your cry wolf claims anymore.

It's interesting, the other day TTQ64 wrote that if you think the Squad is far left and if you don't support free education, free health care and reparations then you support racism. And she included white liberals in that because she was speaking directly to a white liberal poster on this board. By her definition Micawber is a racist.

I found it quite amusing to see liberals who love calling others racist get called racist themselves.
