The difference is that, in the Western world, only Neo-Nazis still use the Swastika. Whereas the Iron Cross is still commonly used outside of Neo-Nazis. The Christian Cross is used by the KKK, but it's commonly used outside of the Klan, so people understand that it's not a racist symbol.
