You know better. Trump is a point of amusement by all world leaders. Trump gives self-serving, meandering speeches in every international occasion. He cannot take himself out of any event.

Oh it goes without saying we would have had to have bases in the UK to mass for the invasion of France. As to our staying out of the war isolationists were in both parties. Plus isolationism was the normal political line following WWI. And if FDR had wanted to fight Germany alone the Democrats controlled congress so the Republicans had no real say. But nice try at rewriting history.

Chamberlain thought he was ending WW2 and saving his country. Trump is just figuring out things that will advantage him. Kim said the right things and then returned to doing what he was doing before. But Trump got talking points. Fake talking points, but that is all he needs.

I especially like the story about how the FBI was part of the deep state but it was FBI Chief Comey who came out with the bad PR a week before election day.
