I agree that Trump should be allowed to go to the court with legit arguments about why he should be able to defy subpoena's, but when the arguments reach the level of Silly, its obstruction.
Trump is arguing in court that he has absolute immunity from investigation, that is simply silly. The Constitution requires the Congress to conduct oversight.

The way I understand it Trump cannot order WH personnel to ignore a subpoena. He must contest the supoena through the court. If that is correct then it would appear he broke the law. But I am far from being a legal eagle.

Listen, Clem. The House has oversight of the Executive, and one of those areas is the President acting unconstitutionally or committing bribery, high crimes and misdemeanours, and that is what Trump has done. He has also obstructed the House's investigation.
Trump has set himself above the law, and he will be pulled down for it.
So, yes, the House is the prosecution, fulfilling its constitutional duty.
The Senate is the jury, and it will let Trump walk, setting him up for his massive defeat and the wreckage of the GOP next fall.
