dec 17 2019 (Ammoland.com)- On 13 December, 2019, Lyda Krewson, the Mayor of St. Louis, Missouri, signed a city ordinance purported to ban guns from St. Louis City parks. It was passed by a vote of 16-2. The bill used a novel approach to circumvent the Missouri State protections for Second Amendment rights. Bill No. 134 declared that St. Louis parks and recreation facilities are “child-care” facilities, and are, therefore, banned from allowing firearms in them.

Last week, Alderman Bret Narayan, D-24th Ward, predicted that this reclassification would face a challenge in the courts by gun-rights activists, who he said would likely prevail.

People in Missouri have the right to carry holstered, loaded, pistols in most public places most of the time. There are a few exceptions. One of them is for child-care facilities, as defined in RS 571.107. From revisor.mo.gov:

I'm not even an anti-gun guy. I own firearms. I do believe in background checks and a ban on assault weapons, but I respect the Second Amendment.
I suppose that if you're legally carrying a handgun under your jacket, you should be able to at least walk through the park on the way to where you're going.
On the other hand, if you're waving around your penis-replacement AK-47, somebody should throw a net over you.

why shouldn't a parent with kids in the park be able to openly carry a handgun while watching their kids?

I don't know of a single 2nd Amendment enthusiast that wants to wave their guns around, or uses that gun as a penis replacement. Is your penis under average size? is that why you try to quip about penis size?

Wikipedia says st louis is 49% black which means it's actually 70% black. The suburb of East St Louis is an incredible 98% black. Murderous black thugs everywhere and the cops are under orders to leave them alone. Any white person without a gun is an idiot.
