Gov. Cuomo will be president.

California does not have "one of the highest poverty rates in the country". You are confusing California with Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina.

I don't believe that to be correct. The four you listed are the largest donor states, but they are not the only donor states.

North Dakoka, Illinois, New Hampshire, Washington, Nebraska and Colorado round out the top ten of donor states.

The thing with California is we have the most wealth. We are leaders in the entertainment industry and as well as the Silicon Valley and being the leader in tech. We have Cal, Stanford, USC, UCLA, Cal Tech and the Pomona schools so we have excellent higher education options at the top level. If you're educated and driven there is no better place to be.

We also have the most poverty and unless you are rich we have crappy public schools. If your goal is to own a home you have zero chance unless you are rich, have family money or move to the hinterlands.

So if that's the model of this new 'country' we'll see what life is really like with rich and poor and a very small middle class.

You are correct, I was wrong.

Apologies.

I read the sheet wrong. The four I mentioned give an inordinately high amount versus return...but the six you mentioned also give more than they get.

How can he be forced out? Most of his pledged delegates must vote for him on the first ballot (at least).

I would like someone more vibrant than Trump or Biden, and someone more liberal...

But It looks like we have a binary choice. Most say they are going with Biden.

California has a stronger economy than the rest of the United States, it has a great healthcare system and is working on its education system. My wife says great things about her public high school in N.Cal, If the nation state of California were not dragged down by the ignorant states, they would be even better. They could devote more money to affordable housing and education.

Not sure if you actually read what I wrote. We have the most wealth in the country. Yes, we have amazing health care if you're rich. And yes, there are amazing public schools in areas where entry is $1.5m for a home. Like I said there is nowhere better to live.

If you aren't rich then not so much. And if your goal is a country with a very small middle class and mostly rich or poor it sounds like you are off to a good start.

There is work to be done, but its better than what the puny minded in Alabama are doing.

Clearly Cuomo has made the calculation that he will take over in the ruins left by Trump in 2024, Its the pattern America has been following. 8 Years of Republicans destroying the economy followed by 8 years of repair by Democrats.

I like Cuomo's personality, and competence level WAY better than Rump, but he is politically only a little better.

It would help America, but we need major fundamental changes that the more progressive wing might bring. I am also starting to believe we would do better to start some statewide confederations of the more successful states (blue) so that we can cooperate like the United States was intended to operate while making the fed and vote of the smaller less economically successful states less relevant.

It might start small, maybe grow out of the New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Illinois alliance that is forming to assist each other with Covid. Likely it would include smaller New England states as well. Later California, Washington and Oregon could join together.

Naturally, eventually the Great Lakes states could join up with the New England alliance.

We could rid ourselves of the backward poverty stricken states of the South and West, without them we would soar.

I would hope this could happen peacefully as a natural transition of allowing alike minded people to band together, but the damage to the poor, uneducated states might force them to fight to keep us obliged to help them.

Florida and Georgia, Texas, North Carolina and Virginia might come along eventually, but I think the rest of the states, for the most part, might prefer to wallow in their own misery. We could offer aid to places like South Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi and asylum for the women and minorities.

Yeah, about Democrats and their predictions.

But It looks like we have a binary choice. Most say they are going with Biden.

Being more liberal would lose them votes. The more liberal candidates could not even beat Biden in the primaries.

There were a large number of people who voted 3rd party in 2016 (7 million)--Democrats need a candidate that appeals to these people (although some voted 3rd party because Clinton was not liberal enough).

I'm not convinced "most" are going with Biden. It is a little early to judge and may be somewhat dependent on the conditions in November although most people have already decided on their candidate.

I agree Biden needs to be more "vibrant" (coherent). Some blame his age although Biden has always had this problem of sticking his foot in his mouth. Some relate it to his stuttering looking for words easier to say.

Actually New York's 2 most Italian counties voted Trump.

Staten Island & Putnam County.

The problem is Southerners really are dumb as sh1t.

I live in Dutchess county and I believe they went with Trump last time around. Most of NY, with the exception of the major urban areas, tend to vote republican.

It is early for sure.

12/20/07 Prediction
The Democratic Nominee will be Senator Clinton

The Republican Nominee will be Mitt Romney

The next president of the United States will be Senator Clinton, by a nose.
