The Florida count was even closer at 48.85% to 48.84%, Bush to Gore. Nader took 97,488 votes, or 1.635%. Anyone who thinks the majority of Nader voters would have voted for Bush instead of Gore are fooling themselves. The facts prove Nader split the vote costing Gore the election just like Perot split the vote costing Bush the election 8 years earlier.
