No, they don't hate Trump. Why would they? He's made them richer. Trump is unique in that we've never had a president this dumb, but his policies are pretty standard.

Dr. Ford accusing Beer Me Kavanaugh, otoh, was clearly "unwell" and "should seek help" because "everyone knows that kids [and left-leaning women] make up stuff for revenge." :laugh:

I don't know if Biden did it or not. Let's do a one-week, very limited investigation ala Kavanaugh and find out!

actually I don't defend Trump's gaffes/ But I don't obsess over them either. they are just off the cuff words.
I do defend his POLICIES -which have been outstanding for the most part

I guess I should expand on what I wrote. .
When I wrote that Biden could speak off the cuff competently about Africa policy, I was using the word "competent" by the standards expected of a leader. They should be able to speak knowlegably about a topic with confidence, authority, and gravitas.

An 18 year old poli sci major put on national TV and asked to speak off the cuff for thirty minutes would be a deer in the headlights - sweaty palms, shaky voice, nervous stutters - and they would not inspire the slighest confidence.

they hate him they obfuscate any successes, and politicize anything they possible can, then spin it and wash out any criticism of Pelosi or Shumer's inability to get things done
Sure it sells papers -and they like that -but they are much more interested in spreading liberal dogma then reportage

Besides Trump has a successful track record -Biden can't point to much of anything except unemployment and Trump got that even lower

Using Venezuela as an example if perfect. The reason Socialism failed there is because America did what it always does when a country tries Socialism. They hit Venezuela with heavy sanctions and worked with Venezuelan Capitalists to sabotage the economy.
Now Bernie doesn't want the kind of Socialism Venezuela tried, he wants more of a mixed economy. But like with Venezuela, the American establishment is afraid this is going to work, so they sabotaged him.

So the establishment/media looks at Trump as the lesser of two evils but they clearly don’t ‘want’ either one of them. The only evidence you need to see is how the media props-up a candidate like Joe Biden. If there was an alternative to Biden [besides Bernie] the establishment media would Me2 him in a New York minute.

Why wouldn't the media want Trump? He's done everything the establishment wants. Maybe now they're pissed at him for causing a pandemic, but this will pass, and he'll go back to making the rich richer.

Agreed people have to choose. Although I think being "proud" of doing one's civic duty is setting a low bar, one should definitely be ashamed of not voting.

Yes, all candidates will have their critics but there's a difference between "better than" and "unfit to serve".

I have no doubt the US would have been better off if GHW Bush had won reelection in 1992.
