Except the law that makes it a felony to do so prevents it from become a widespread or material problem. Individual voter fraud is a myth. It is so rare that it is effectively non-existent.

A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that all Texans can apply to vote by mail during the coronavirus pandemic, after the state's Supreme Court, in separate litigation, blocked the expansion of absentee voting last week.

U.S. District Judge Fred Biery sided with the Texas Democratic Party, saying that to follow existing state absentee voting rules, in which you have to be 65 or older or have a stated disability, would put unconstitutional and illegal burdens on Texas voters.

"Americans now seek Life without fear of pandemic, Liberty to choose their leaders in an environment free of disease and the pursuit of Happiness without undue restrictions," Biery wrote in his order. “There are now some among us who would, if they could, nullify those aspirational ideas to return to the not so halcyon and not so thrilling days of yesteryear of the Divine Right of Kings.”

This federal judge has no jurisdiction whatsoever this is completely within the purview of the state legislature. This isn't even a federal issue period if you want to legislate from the bench at least take it to the right court, this will eventually be overturned on appeal but in the meantime the circuit court judges need to put a stay on his order until they can hear the case either that or the state Legislature and governor need to tell him to go to hell and let him try to enforce it then place him under house arrest using the state police for crimes against the Texas republic and Constitution.

Oh horseshit vote by mail is ripe for voter fraud and human error the idea that the responsibility of the election of the leader of the free world should rest in the hands of the post office is fucking laughable.

This is not a federal issue whatsoever they didn't even judge shop to the right judiciary this falls solely under the purview of the state Legislature it will be overturned on appeal either to the circuit court or the SCOTUS.

This is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever read. They match signatures on the ballot to registration signatures. Who, precisely, within a household of another voter is so determined to commit a crime punishable by a prison term to help their candidate by 1 vote that they would forge their roommate's/spouse's/child's/parent's signature?

Literally anyone can do the same damned thing by getting a fake ID and voting at the booth. Literally the only difference is that, for 99.9999% of human beings, voting from home (particularly during a pandemic) is FAR safer and more convenient and encourages turnout.

There's only one, single, solitary reason for you to be against mail-in voting. You want to see fewer people vote. If you'd admit that, you might earn a scintilla of respect from me.

Republicans abhor democracy. It's that simple. If they'd actually add policies and ideas to their platform that were more popular, maybe they wouldn't be at such a disadvantage when the people vote?

States have been voting by mail for decades, so if it is so ripe for voter fraud, how come you can't find any? Maybe you can explain just how this fraud can occur?

It isn't universal vote by mail moron, there's a difference between allowing a few million infirmed and elderly vote by mail and allowing tens of millions to vote by mail. How are you going to insure that ballots are sent to the right address, that they reach the proper destination, that people won't go from mail box to mail box just stealing ballots? I don't need to prove fraud you need to prove that universal vote by mail is secure which you can't because it's not.

No it's the fascist left that doesn't believe in democracy which is why they are in favor of every measure that will make voter fraud more likely and oppose every measure that will make voting more secure. The fascist left legalized ballot harvesting statewide in California, they oppose voter ID as if having ID isn't a societal necessity to begin with, they support keeping dead people on the voter rolls, they want to keep nonvoters on the rolls in perpetuity to allow for out of state voting, and now they want to implement a completely insecure voting method universally.

Where do they get all of those handwriting experts? Literally not a single signature is looked at by anyone let alone inspected and verified.
