It's not a fake quote, and you haven't proven it is. You are saying it's fake because you don't like the fact that it confirms what we've been saying about Nixon, the Southern Strategy, and his racism.

So your reason as to why the quote is fake is because it wasn't published until several years later, and that's it? How much of any interview isn't included in a book? Even newspapers don't publish full interviews. You've linked to several yourself!

22 years later! This guy on going to sit on this Golden Nugget for 22 years, ... and then slip it into an obscure magazine article during a primary. That is ridiculous. As I said, it's single source, hearsay. It in no way rises to the level of fact or evidence.
