Coulter Bagged by Media Matters

But a boycott is not intimidation. To boycott is to abstain from, by it's very definition (and it holds out in practical use) it can never be a form of intimidation.
It's a tool in a free market to coerce those involved to change.

I love it when people jump in late to help me prove my point.

Can someone explain to me what the Dixie Chick boycotters were hoping to "change"?

So it is coercion but not intimidation? Thanks for that clarification. It really clears things up.

Fuck off, you idiotic loser. First, you called me a "hypocrite," when I have stated clearly TWICE that I do NOT support the Coulter boycott. Then, I have written lord knows how many times that people have a right to boycott, and that I'm not suggesting it should be illegal, but I just find them stupid & un-American when they're regarding an opinion, so yeah, on an emotional level, I don't support those boycotts. But I'm not saying they "don't have the right."

I guess that's probably a distinction that a stupid, knee-jerk peabrain wouldn't comprehend. I'll try to dumb it down for you next time.

Well, do you know chimpanzee sign language?

Would you like a towel to wipe away your tears?

Why can't you just accept that someone disagrees with you? I disagree with you too. I feel that Onceler is correct and it is a form of intimidation, and I think that saying it is anti-american in spirit is a great description.

You disagree.

So what? Why do you have to keep going on and on, twisting people's words and trying to get them enraged? Just say, ok, we disagree. not everyone in the world has to agree with you Sf.

Bullshit. It's un-American to try to get someone to shut up through intimidation. There is no other way to slice it.

You & I simply disagree on what America is supposed to represent.

And fuck off, you insanely stupid hack....

such rage.... might want to see a shrink....

Obviously we disagree on peoples ability to organize a boycott being American vs. UnAmerican.

As I said long ago, intimidation via things such as death threats is indeed wrong. But that does not mean the act of an organized boycott is wrong. You are taking one small portion of an act and projecting it onto the entire act.

Side note... the only HACK here is you.

You know what is so laughable.... neither of you have stopped either. IF I leave threads, I get to see posts of 'where did you go'? If I stay and continue, then "I" am the one who has to have the last word.

I am glad you think boycotts are anti-american in spirit.

Have fun at your protest march.

With liberals it has been their hobby for 8 years. Now NBC does not want any Obama bashing so they do not have anyone on who does not meet their Obama loving standards
It was a hobby for eight years because he SUCKED for 8 years. Those that voted for him once were duped. Those that voted for him twice were just plain stupid!

and those who voted for the man who couldn't beat the worst President in the past 50 years were what????

awww... are you still overly emotional? seriously... do ya need a hanky?

Sorry; I did lose myself there. When some brain-dead retard mischaracterizes an entire period in American history in a way that suggests he wasn't even there at the time, it gets me a little riled up.

I'm okay now. I've had a few intelligent conversations with people who actually live in reality since posting last, and it's helped...

So you resort to mischaracterizing everything I have stated on here? How typical of you. Poor little Hack.

I haven't mischaracterized anything you've said. You have shown time & again that, for the period of roughly 2002-2007, you were either absent from the planet, on heavy meds or obsessively watching old reruns of "Gilligan's Island". You weren't here.

As for mischaracterizing, how about the idiot (you) who TWICE ignored my post to his somewhat irrelevant post about media matters & Coulter, and continued to insist that I was a hypocrite because I "liked" the boycott on Coulter, but hated the one on the Dixie Chicks?

It's so dimwitted & predictable, anyway. Anytime there is a discussion about virtually any topic, we can count on you to chime in with what you perceive as the double-standard, and remain determined to stick with it. You're like Old Faithful.
