We hear so much about this politician being inexperienced and this one being much more exxperienced.

With the levels of corruption that is evident in BOTH major political parties, and the way the politicians have completely screwed us over, is being experienced really a possitive attribute anymore?

There are only two default positions for competing political candidates.

1. The "experienced".
Soundbites include - 'A safe pair of hands', 'A record to stand on' and 'I know how to get things done'.

2. The "inexperienced".
Soundbites include - 'A breath of fresh air', 'An outsider who will shake up the establishment' and 'Representing the ordinary folks'.

The only difference between them is the experienced candidate usually knows how to ensure more cash is diverted into his bank account than the inexperienced chap. However, the inexperienced fellow, if elected, tends to make up for lack of know-how, in the field of wetting his beak, with a much superior activity rate in locating fresh troughs.
