That's pretty good.
They were nearby because of the mayor's home. The McCloskeys lied about the protesters breaking down the gate; it was already open and was broken later, according to the other neighbors there. Their firearms were confiscated later. It turned out that Mrs. McCloskey's gun didn't even work. That's a good thing. According to one interview he gave, she has never fired a gun and had no clue about them. If it was operational she could have very easily shot someone.
I'm not surprised that these stupid pricks are now darlings of the Republican Party, along with insufferable smarm-ass Sandmann. Nothing says GOP better than lawbreaking rich whites and little racist buttercups.

I don't know the proprietorial politics, but I know the law. These people broke the law by pointing a loaded gun at a group of people who were not a, by any stretch a reasonable threat of bodily harm.

That's how it was done in the matriarchal nations of the Haudensaunee Confederacy. The women owned the property, brokered the deals with other nations, settled inter-tribal disputes, appointed war chiefs in time of trouble, and divvied up food and other necessities to ensure that no one went without. The women's council had the final say whether they would launch the warriors at an enemy. War was usually the last resort.
The way she was waving it around indicated she had little knowledge of its use. Had it been functional, she could easily be up on murder charges.
There's a controversy about why her .380 pistol was non-functional, but that doesn't matter in a case about brandishing.
It surprises me that the Republicans would be so fucking stupid as to give the McCloskey's air time, but it doesn't surprise me that Trump is the force behind it.

Trump has a survival instinct, if Biden wins decisively, Trump will walk away, he will then have 10 years of whining and complaining about how it was stolen from him to look forward to, maybe as a convicted felon. If its not decisive, Trump will fight to a point, he might even call a few Generals to see if he can get the military on his side, but if he has little chance, he is WAY to much of a PUSSY to knowingly go down in such a fight. He will see, that as an ex-president, he can make millions whipping up the idiots who will support him no matter what. He will sell books and a television show all about how he was cheated.

I know that even in Missouri you cant point a gun at someone who is on the street in front of your house not making any effort to even touch your property.

Given present evidence, I doubt Mark will be convicted, but Patricia is clearly guilty of brandishing. Being white and rich, I doubt she'll go to prison or spend a day in jail. A conviction might see her disbarred or censured.
