I said it took Obama 10 years to plan 9/11, and that they want the next attack on American soil to be even bigger.

There have been big plots; there was that one they broke up in the UK, that ended up banning shampoo on carry-on bags for flights. It's interesting what broke up that plot - good relations w/ the local Muslim/Arab communities and sound intel, something which the Bush admin practically abandoned.

Give it up, Yurtsie; Bush sucked any way you look at it, and he was definitely in way over his head when it came to terror. He tried to fight the terror war like every other war, and it's nothing like that.
 
Easy enough, the majority believe we can win the battle of terrorism through diplomacy. The past 7 years a different view prevailed, we'll see where we go with the new view.

I'll give it a chance, haven't a choice. Don't live in DC, NYC, or LA.

The idea of using planes against the WTC was born with the failure of first attack in 1993.....so the planning took place during the entire Clinton Administration, under his very nose so to speak.....so not 10 years.....

Its was no secret the Muslims wanted to attack the WTC since 1993....we obviously knew of their desire.....but knowing that is about as important as knowing the Muslims want to convert the world to Islam....

Deliberate? Bullshit...most of them practically live in the stone age....and dream of killing millions...only the more developed Muslim regions are a threat of that magnitude.....Iran, certainly....and Iraq if you believe what the Dems and the Clinton said about Saddam during 1995 up until about 2002 :readit:

so because it took 10 years to plan 9/11, it will take another 10 years for another attack? so AQ is incapable of planning more than one attack at a time?

fact: no more attacks under bush...and there were more attacks under clinton after 93. bush did a great job of keeping you and i safe.

Oh....you're talking about attacks abroad, as well? (unless you're trying to split the hair of embassy ground being "American soil")

I was kind of hoping you'd bring that up. You lose. There have been hundreds of attacks against Americans abroad under Bush.

By that standard, Bush has been an absolute disaster.
 
An embassy in a foreign country is not equivalent to attack on American soil (I know, it's considered American soil - the entire block that the building occupies). You can't control what goes on around the building and you don't have a police apparatus to enforce your laws or interrogate people in that country. You can't stop someone from loading up a truck of explosives across town and blowing it up on your block. It's more than a little dishonest to claim that it was a second attack and Clinton somehow was negligent and responsible for it.

Yeah, that was really well planned, huh? Driving a car through a border crossing full of explosives and timers. Must have taken ages to come up with something that foolproof.
