the rest is up to us

You have a voice. Your senators and Reps in congress are your voice. If they are in the Majority then they get a loud full voice, if they are in the minority, then not so much. That is the way a democracy works. The libs whined about it for 6 years and then got back both houses. But you don't get your way when you are in the minority. No bones thrown your way, No right wing judicial nominees "just so you can have a voice". This is what it means to lose power. The worm will turn again for the dems. But now, if you are a republican, you are the opposition. Get used to it.

Ah that is just the problem. If in the minority their voices do not count 'as much', but the acknowledgment that those they represent do count should be there. What Pelosi effectively is doing is muting the voices of the people who didn't vote Democratic. That's just wrong.

So far however it looks as if Obama isn't of the same mindset and my guess is the Blue Dog Democrats won't be either.

I don't care what the rest of you do. Politically, you can't do anything right now.

Haha. I've gotta say, that's really cool. Karma is a bitch.

I hope you get what you want with sky high taxes..now that would be Karma.

LOL.

No, they are allowed to speak fully and clearly, with all 46% of the total voice. And Pelosi has been so easy on the opposition she might as well give them the majority.

so you have held that same view when the republicans were the majority....right?

Tell you what: why don't you find a quote from a Democrat, lie & say it's from a Republican, and then ask me if I agree with it to do your little partisan "gotcha" test?

You're the biggest hack on here, Yurtle. It's no wonder that you keep asking questions like the one above. Psychologists call that "projection".

i used it one time...stop whining and i made it VERY obvious by using tom delay again, give me a break, if you had not known it i would question your intelligence.

and i notice you failed to answer my question here...why? because it would show what a hypocrical partisan hack you are. so instead, you ad hominem to distract from actual issue. boring.

Poor widdle Bush voters are unhappy about how they were treated over the past 8 years? Really? Were you called a traitor because you opposed some of his decisions, and did people call Osama Bin Laden "your buddy"?

Cry me a river. You're in the political wilderness now; you have no voice. Deal with it.
:clink:

As a matter of fact, I was called a traitor because I opposed many of his decisions... everything from the hiring of Haliburton and the Patriot Act to the NSC Wiretapping scandal and the torturing of human beings simply because they were not U.S. Citizens.

Yeah, I was called a traitor and I voted for Bush twice but I'm not poor and I'm definitely not "widdle". :pke: I'm more than happy to be in the political wilderness now if it means being free of the two political parties that have destroyed this nation.

Immie

WHERE were they my words?

It was either a long time ago, when I was an independent and actually believed that the majority shouldn't govern, or I was talking about a nuance that doesn't make sense when you take it completely and totally out of context.

OK, if you held the balance of power, you'd be pretty powerful. But in a our system a party doesn't necessarily need a majority to govern effectively. Since party discipline is lax, the biggest party could just rely on rebellious votes from other parties to get their agenda passed. I'm not sure anyone would ever be willing to work with a party like the Libertarians.

as you can see, i took nothing out of context, you are merely changing your tune because the libs are in power...

you're no conservative, but use that name, you bash conservatives, but take the name...i like it, honest deception...
