Do any of you Right-Wingers actually follow your own standards? Or...

Or is everything about a power-grab and just any bullshit you can make up along the way to make that happen? Do you really want to sink your brand this much? By many accounts, you'd think I should vote conservative. I'm Christian, pro-life, not a fan of the left letting gender dysphoria illnesses be catered to rather than treated properly, and believe in certain amounts of gun freedom beyond what you'd get from the average liberal. Unfortunately, you Republicans are so phony and never stick to your own standards anymore that I vote Democrat. You aren't even definable as conservative so much anymore. Bunch of hypocritical phonies. Watch your backs, this court justice issue is so much more volatile than you realize. Please don't screw up so bad that you cause an uprising or the left gets too much unchecked power. Both sides kind of suck but they work well enough in a good enough balance.

I suggest you look at the latest from AOC who wants to impeach Trump or AG Barr to stop the ratification of a new SCOTUS justice. That sport is nothing but a power grab and partisan politics.

One of the new RWers here hinted this morning that the rush to get a new justice installed has a lot to do with the post-election results lawsuits coming up. What do you make of that?

If you vote Democrat with all that you claim to be then they can fucking have you. Biden is pro choice so that alone proves you're really fucking stupid or a lying sack of shit. Want to guess which i think it is?

It would be a good strategy on the part of the Republicans, albeit dishonest and anti-American.

If Biden is a clear winner, any lawsuits will quickly die. Making up shit as Trump does doesn't fly very well in a court of law. If the election is close, yes, it will become a goat rope in Washington, DC.

More interesting to me will be the Congressional elections. The Democrats most probably will keep control of the House, but the Senate is up for grabs. Even if the Republicans retain control, it's will be by a narrower margin than four (3 Senators and Pence). If Trump loses and the Republicans stayed the same, they lost the VP's tiebreaker vote. If they lose 2 or 3 seats, the Senate will become very interesting until the Midterms. What seems clear to me is that neither party will dominate the Senate after November 3rd.

The U.S. Senate has 53 Republicans and 47 Democrats (including two independents). There are 35 seats up in 2020 - including special elections in Arizona and Georgia - of which 23 are held by the GOP. Democrats will need to gain 3 or 4 seats to take control.

I have no doubt that even if/when Biden clearly wins, #TRE45ON will still attempt to challenge the mail-in ballots, and otherwise tie it up in the courts so he can stay in power. Hence the newbie tovarisch promoting the quick appointment of a replacement justice.

The Senate will for sure be the 2nd most interesting game to watch. Unfortunately we have gotten so partisan and divided that only a clear majority by one party in both chambers and in the WH is going to be able to accomplish any work for the people. We need so much done -- infrastructure, COVID, national security, restoration of our alliances, improved taxation fairness, health care, immigration reform, etc. The people gave the (R)s both chambers and the presidency in 2016, yet here we are -- nothing done other than a give-away to the already-wealthy.

Trump can try but like his Muslim ban and several other instances, either the law is on his side or not. Bullshit is not law. Trump's bullshit complaints work well with his unwashed masses, but won't work in court.

Again, that only happens if it's close as in 2000. I doubt that will happen. Trump clearly won in 2016 and I suspect, due to how the EC works, the winner of 2020 will be clearly defined no matter how much bitching follows the election.

Agree, but the problem here isn't the rational normal ppl like you or me (heheheheh), but those unwashed masses of Trump Cultists. Toss in the Russians and their vested interest in kicking the American ant hive, and we have some interesting post-election times ahead. Trump will challenge and judge-shop, all the way to the U.S.Sct., where he hopes that his chosen justices will rule in his favor and keep him in office. 2000 all over again.

No, not like me. I would always take the high road until I was unable. I'd hold anyone to a ruling of conduct, especially if it was their own ruling. I won't let people walk all over me to maintain a high road standard though and anyone short of a saint, or virtuous monk would do the same. It seems some think Dems should take this hypocrisy lying down but that would be a betrayal of who they serve or represent.

First of all to say you are all those things and ever vote democrat is a joke! Secondly after what the left tried to do to Kavanaugh, what they tried to do to Trump for three years, a soft coup! Please explain to me how the left has any room to talk about anything, they have taken nothing lying down they have agitated and promoted more violence at every turn, including what will be a perfectly legal nomination! You call the right hypocrites for advancing a nominee after saying it was right for Obama to do so after 8 yrs of failure! The left is only worried about the power to dominate via the judicial system! The left which is so pro life, except for babies, and blacks killing blacks, which is the height of hypocrisy so spare me your soap box B.S!

That's basically just a bullshit counter to bullshit actions. It's what you get when one side goes low in power abuses against the other side. Rather than take the high road they go for the direct approach and start chasing them down that low road with a cudgel ready to drag them back. If this wasn't real life that image would be kind of comical. I could imagine the right as Bart Simpson, and the left as Homer.

It would make sense to try to get one more justice that hopefully would be on your side. I would hope that the court would not let politics interfere with their rulings on the multiple law suites that are coming. We all know no matter who wins the other side is going to pull out all the stops to overturn the election. this is going to make the Bush Gore suites look like child's play.

The Russians best gambit is confusion; muddying the waters for the back half of the IQ Bell Curve. This, of course, includes sowing dissent among Democrats. Anything that weakens the US is good for Putin.

The extremists, regardless of polarity, are rare IRL. Here, of course, sanity is the rare jewel. The Independents will decide the elections since, as a group, they are larger than either party.

The US helped, but, yes, the USSR was responsible for their own demise because Socialism doesn't work as a national system. Trump worships money and will suck the cock gladly take advantage of any despot or dictator who can afford him.

Socialism? Socialism and Communism aren't interchangeable like that.
