Not different standards, they just recounted only some precincts. It's better that some questionable precincts be accurately counted and unquestionable precincts not than have all of Florida be questionable.
 
All of Florida should have been recounted. The Supreme's would not have stepped in, and we would have had a statewide number where no voters were excluded from the recount. The way Gore went about it cost him the election plain and simple.

I'm a party before country guy, so I don't care how much he has to cheat to win.

It bothered me when Bush won by cheating, though.

The great thing is that he hasn't cheated and still won.

Norm Coleman's electoral record is quite stunning. He lost to a former professional wrestler, narrowly defeated a dead guy and lost to a comedian.

When the State Supreme Court starts changing the rules during an election, someone HAS TO STEP IN....thus, the USSC...trying to divine the "intent" of a voter that screwed up his or her ballot is absurd on its face....idiots lose their vote by being idiots, thats simple justice....
