Hello T. A. Gardner,
Yes, we have. What we need is to lighten up and laugh more. But I seriously think that the Left simply cannot do that.
Not surprised you feel like that. Btw, the left thinks the same thing about the right. That's because when we are talking about serious heavy stuff like politics, there isn't much to laugh about. Anybody with a good life does plenty of laughing when they are not discussing politics.
The reason you think the left is so horrible is because, like much of America, you buy into the we/they theory.
'We' (whichever side you are on) are 'the good guys,' and 'They,' (the opposite side,) are 'the bad guys.'
Our side are well-meaning good people and the other side are terrible people who hate America and want to destroy it, right?
Wrong.
That's the BS that is keeping America dysfunctional.
But it serves one great purpose.
It lets the rich get richer because nothing substantive which might level the playing field can be passed through Congress.
Whatever the rich want has a far greater chance of becoming law than what the 99% want. That's a fact. They will use whichever party serves their purpose at the time.
The we/they theory gives them that power.
The rich are so few in number they cannot out vote the masses.
So what they do is pit the masses against one another.
Divide and conquer.
We Americans have been conquered by the richest among us.
The Class War has already been won by the rich, and they just keep on using their victory to further oppress the rest of us.
