The metric that matters is how much carbon each person is emitting. It is stupid to compare gross, aggregate emissions between a country of 300 millon people against a country of 1.5 billion people

That is like complaining that California emits more aggregate GHG than Wyoming.

Carbon footprint per person is the proper metric. It tells us how efficient we are doing at reducing carbon footprint.

The fact that you personally annually emit 15 times the carbon of a person in India, means you have no leg to stand on to complain about India.

that's absurd. People who use a private jet emit more - industries in certain locations emit more. Our nation is compared even by the Paris accords to other nations.. what we do statewide or per capita is unimporatyant

You personally emit 15 times more carbon than the average Indian. An Indian emits 1.7 metric tons/yr CO2.

If every human on the planet emitted 1.7 metric tons/yr CO2, the climate problem would likely be solved.

India and USA needs to be part of an international effort.

But I responded to the claim that India is "abusing" its carbon contribution. That claim is utter hyperbole both logically and mathematically.

Land does not subside evenly. Aquifers are not evenly spread across the land. It does not flow like water. Land does have a tide, though.
