I love all the constant talk of tax increases everywhere

Chapdog

Abreast of the situations
I find it humorous that they think we are going to pay.

New sin taxes, bottle taxes, millage taxes, water taxes, holding tax refunds..

I hope the govt goes bankrupt out of there shire stupidity.

What do you have against Hobbits? Why is the Shire equated with stupidity?

Personally, I like the California solution. That ought to work out well.

I was going to say that. Damn.

Definitely, watch California and see what plays out there. There is a part of me that hopes the GOP there holds out, but not a big part, because I feel sorry for all of the people who will suffer.

But if it happens - that's a petri dish, as Mr. Delay might giggle.

CA having to many bottom feeders is the #1 problem right now. They certainly have enough taxes.

fucking joke.. CA gets 121B in revenue per year.. no reason they cant make that work.

California levies a 9.3 percent maximum variable rate income tax, with six tax brackets. It collects about $40 billion per year in income taxes. California's combined state, county and local sales tax rate is from 7.25 to 8.75 percent.[44] The rate varies throughout the state at the local level. In all, it collects about $28 billion in sales taxes per year. All real property is taxable annually, the tax based on the property's fair market value at the time of purchase. This tax does not increase based on a rise in real property values. California collects $33 billion in property taxes per year.

The above is simply chump change. They need more and they need it now.

Well 121B is such a big number, so clearly it can do anything right? Let's not look at things on a per capita basis.

go ahead and look. you will see that in CA is some of highest taxes (when adding prop, sales, income) in the nation.
