The premise is that this country ‘devalues and devastates’ black lives. So what’s the policy remedy?

Maybe one of the board Biden supporters can help us. Or not.

Also, Biden has been in government for 47 years and never did anything significant for blacks—why do they expect him to change now?

Will Joe give it to them?

Reparations are a political loser on steroids and Biden, even his dotage, knows it. Not sure where Harris would stand on it. No other minorities besides [some, by no means all] blacks would gain from it and ‘going all in’ for the black vote is electoral insanity. You can’t win elections with just the black vote.

Putting myself in their shoes I don’t know what the frick I’d lol.

That’s the problem with putting so much stock in identity politics: how do you pander to group X without pissing group Y off? Aren’t Hispanics apt to wonder off the reservation if Democrats get serious about giving reparations to blacks?

Add to it the fact BLM is apt to ‘pull out the stick’ if Biden doesn’t bend the knee and it’s easy to see where this could become a real problem.

It’s going to be fun watching it play out.
