in todays demographic environment, it would not be a north v. south. It would be a rural v. urban civil war. You'd see the cities in each state besieged by the rest of the rural citizens.

I know if I was running any part of the show, my first attack would be on Austin.

Roughly the same amount of Democrat have guns as Republicans, although the percentage is slightly lower. As if hunting rifles and handguns would make the difference in any war anyway.

A hunting rifle makes the perfect sniper rifle. Don't discount what a few thousand snipers could do.

Handguns work great in guerilla warfare. And thats what could win it.

God forbid that should happen. It was one of the major reasons why Lee surrendered at Appomatix. He know his only viable option was a guerrilla action and he new what a horrific thing that would be and that peacably surrendering was the better option. It was probably the greatest and most corrageous military decision he ever made.

I agree. And to say that was the greatest decision ever made by one of the greatest military men of all time is saying something.

He is one of the very few commanders to surrender and be allowed to keep his horse and sidearm.

If the war is against other guys with hunting rifles, yes. I wonder who has more handguns (close combat), assault rifles (tweaked for full auto) and ammunition?
