Here's the way I see Trump supporters claim of Election Fraud. Where do you fit in?

They are actually in Group 4!

I don’t care why they thought they lost or who’s to blame ... they’re GONE Noon Wednesday, and that’s all that Counts

Anyone accusing you of "thinking" would have their claim dismissed with prejudice.

I suspect you are ruled by emotions, like a hormonal woman.

Have you consulted an endocrinologist? They can prescribe testosterone replacement therapy in cases like yours.

Do you often laugh at your own jokes? Oh well, you know what they say. Simple mind. Simple pleasure.

He's a Ten Percenter:

Group 3: 10% of Trump supporters believe Trump when he says the election was stolen from him. They believe Trump was sent by God and believe everything Trump says is the truth. Some have even drank the Clorox. They even sent money to Trump's Election Fraud Defense Fund. These Trump supporters have fallen into the Trump Cult and will forever be deluded into thinking the way Trump wants him to. They are lost. They are naive. They are Gullible. They refuse to believe Trump lost, even though all the evidence points to Biden winning. They actually believe there is a Deep State and an Antifa working behind the scenes, changing voting machine software, hiding ballots in suitcases under tables, dumping massive boxes of ballots that all voted for Biden.

I know quite a few Trump supporters and from what I've gathered:

Group 1:50% of Trump supporters think Trump lost the election fair and square. They don't believe there was widespread voter fraud that would change the outcome of the election that Biden won by 8 million votes and 70 Electoral votes. Yes, there are some rational, coherent Trump supporters. Who knows why they voted for a fucking moron but they have their reasons and they're not entirely looney like the rest of them.

Group 2: 40% of Trump supporters SAY the election was fraudulent and stolen from Trump but they don't actually believe it. It's their way of being able to claim Biden is an illegitimate president and that their guy didn't lose. These are the petty and spiteful Trump supporters who just can't admit to others Trump lost because of their arrogance and hubris.

So, Trump supporters on this forum, where do you see yourself within these three choices?

I am not a Trump supporter, but I think you are too generous in your assessment. I don't take any issues with your categories. I just think the percentages you assigned are transposed.

I would guess that about 10% of Trump supporters are in Group 1 and have some sort of relationship with reality. I think 40% could be about right for Group 2: Trump supporters who know they are lying. I think as much as 50% (and possibly more) of Trump supporters are in Group 3 and have lost their fucking minds. These people honestly believe what they say. They don't have any workable concept of fact versus fiction. I saw a guy wearing a sign yesterday that said something along the lines of, "We will accept Biden as our legitimate president when we are confident that he was not elected by fraud. Just prove it!"

. . .

That is your typical Trump supporter. Prove a negative because I asserted a positive that cannot be proven -- despite the most significant challenge in terms of effort, time, participants, and money to dispute an election in the entire history of the US. These are 21st century Americans. It is one of the most significant regressions in human civilization I can imagine.

I can understand why you think 50% of Trump supporters have lost their fucking minds. The certainly act like it, as evidenced by the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. But I truly think many of them really don't believe the election was fradulent, even though they say otherwise. It's part of their duty to parrot the right wing narrative, regardless of how absurd it is. I don't think they all believed that President Obama was Muslim, even though many, once again, were just parroting the right wing narrative. This is what they do. They watch the far right media to get their marching orders. Then they repeat the narrative on forums such as this.

I also understand your frustration with their argument about proving Election Fraud. Well, we all know they can't since there is no proof. So what do they do? They make up their own "Alternative Facts" by swallowing the Far Right News Media bullshit. They've been masters at floating election fraud conspiracy theories and propaganda.

Again, the Far Right Media don't need to prove anything. That's just not necessary. All they need to do is get their minions to BELIEVE WHAT THEY WANT THEM TO. The truth be damned. And, to a certain extent, they've succeeded. So, they've come up with this new argument that they have the evidence but the courts won't hear it. Have you ever heard such a stupid argument? I've heard many of my Trump supporting friends echo this ridiculous claim.
But that's what the right wing media put out so they're sticking with it, regardless that it makes no legal sense.
