Poopie faces is one of the phrases she used and that just blew some of us Alaskans out of the water. It is great to be hip and cool, but come on poopie faces. Sounds like she runs a pre-school instead of a state!

For the record, if I were booking a GOP fundraiser, I would rather have Newt speak than Palin. Not that I don't think Palin would do a great job, or isn't a "leader" but Newt is probably the most astute fiscal conservative in politics today. We need a strong conservative voice to move the idiot moderates in our party away from the edge of the cliff they're about to jump off!

I would have to disagree with you on the point. Alaskans are notorious for voting against their own best interest and trusting people like Jesse Carr!

Anchorage the population center generally votes more liberal, while the villages vote Republican. They love Don Young because he married a native woman and he supports the timber industry, the oil industry, the fishing industry and the native Alaska welfare.

Don't bet on it, I know a few in the village who don't like Young or Palin or Murkowski. This contingent seems to be growing.

I think his dislike is for the WAPMs, who have tried to kill the middle class and not for all old white men. Just my educated guess.
 
I find it funny how numerous founding fathers wrote about the evils of special interests in a republic, and yet ordinary Americans are supposed to vote against rich people (class warfare) in order ot have their "interests" secured.

This is why I have hated the historical Democratic Party from Jefferson to the present. It has survived by preying upon people via class warfare, and it is evil, and heads should have long been rolling for it.
