No Democrat will honestly ask whether Bernie Sanders incited the shooter who nearly killed Rep. Steve Scalise and a volunteer coach of the congressional Republican baseball squad. The shooter nearly pulled off a massacre, all because he fervently believed the false and inflammatory rhetoric spewed by Sanders and other Democrats — lines such as “The Republican healthcare plan for the uninsured is that you die.” As this avowed Bernie supporter shot at us, he screamed, “This is for healthcare!,” he added.

“No Democrat will ask whether Sen. Cory Booker incited violence when he called for his supporters to get “up in the face” of congresspeople, a very visual and specific incitement,” the Senator added.

“No Democrat will ask whether Maxine Waters incited violence when she literally told her supporters, and I quote, “If you see a member of the Trump Cabinet at a restaurant, a department store, a gas station, or any place, you create a crowd and you push back on them.” My wife and I were pushed and surrounded by the type of mob Waters likes to inspire. It’s terrifying to have a swarm of people threaten to kill you, curse at you, and hold you literally hostage until police come to your rescue. No Democrat has ever considered impeaching Waters for her violent rhetoric,” he continued.

1. The Republican health care plan for the uninsured was, in fact, "that you die".

2. "Up in the face" does not mean physical assault, and it was general not specific.

3. "Push back at them", like "Up in the face", at public places implies verbal confrontation, not beating people with clubs or smashing their doors, windows, etc. and stealing personal belongings.

If Rand Paul makes these arguments someone will set him straight.

Nope.

Paul was among several republican congressmen *who are actual victims* of ‘political assault’ incited by progressive political rhetoric. IOW, they were actually physically assaulted—and nearly killed, by an individual or individuals incited by leftist political rhetoric.

Apart from the abject hypocrisy angle, Democrats should think twice about going down this road or else face the prospect of having the tables turned on them. Which is almost a surety in our present hyper-charged environment.

In fact, how soon is it going to be before a Trump supporter is assaulted or killed by someone who was led to believe ‘they were going after a domestic terrorist’?

"copy and paste," like most of his cohorts, just don't get it, Trump's plans to invalidate a national election didn't start with his pep rally just prior to the assault on the Capital to stop the recoding of the results, that was just the finale.

In the trial, which unlike last time, witnesses are going to be allowed, America is going to hear how Trump never recognized the election going back to September, if not earlier. How Trump attempted to get the Dept of Justice to act in his behalf, how he endeavored to have individual State Legislators take initiatives to do something for him, his effort to intimidate Georgia election officials, limiting the ability of the DC National Guard to act on January 6th, etc., etc., etc.

Trump was always going to win the Senate trial, majority of GOP Senators are spineless, but what is going to be exposed is going to further tarnish them and Trump, all Americans are the jury

And Rand Paul is just adding to his already confirmed reputation as a snake, currently competing with Hawley and Cruz for top Trump ass kisser going into 2024, you'd think they learn, in Trump's world, it is only what you have done for me lately not your record of being a loyal lackey

If the shooter attended a rally where Bernie Sanders spoke just a couple of hours before he went on a shooting spree then you would have a comparison. I will await your evidence of that actually happening.
