Obama never lied. You think he's like Bush, but he;s not. That why you LOST!!

obama :pke:

if he didn't want him he could have let him go

Sorry, you've got that wrong. The Chairman is appointed for 4 year terms, not concurrent with the term of the President. Bernanke, who was appointed in Feb. 2006 by bush, cannot be fired except for cause. It is made difficult for a reason. Bernanke's tie is to bush not Obama who has been in office less than 3 months.
I suspect if Obama and the Democratic Congress fired Bernanke for whatever reason, the GOP/RW would raise a hell of a stink about that too since Obama can do no right.

ok...so you're saying that obama kept him because he was afraid of what the gop would say...

No, I'm saying, regardless of the circumstance, the GOP and RW would take both sides of the fence in order to criticise Obama, something rather common over the last 2.5 months.

The gist of the first sentence was the reality of Bernanke's appointment, his term in office, and his tie to bush. He's your guy, like it or not.

he is not my guy...i did not pick him...he is the country's guy :pke:

and really, the left has absolutely no room to talk about doing nothing but criticizing the president...

I know he's the country's guy, but you were trying to lay him off as Obama's. I merely stated the facts in reply. I personally have no problems with Bernanke who I think is a more stand up guy than Greenspan was.
bush had a long period of grace with over 90% approval after 9/11. Then came a never ending streak of incompetence starting with Iraq and, from there, it was a national disaster leading to 24% approval upon handing over the keys. That he squandered his popularity is nobody's fault but bush's, his advisors', and his boss Cheney's.
