Obama to seek $83.4 billion for Iraq, Afghan wars

Every penny is money that could save a child from going hungry or give free healthcare to all Americans, and it's wasted because Bush lied to get us into illegal wars, now it will cost more to get out.

83 billion is just a down payment on what he's going to be asking for to fight wars he has no idea what the mission is or will be, or what the end-game looks like.

Are we off to fight in Africa next?

Change we can believe in.

I'd rather be a whiner than a liar. Why don't you research WHY Obama opposed some of those bills? There were also supplemental funding bills in 2006 & 2006 that he voted FOR. Beyond that, he campaigned on a slow withdrawal from Iraq, and on an ESCALATION of Afghanistan. Obviously, he didn't plan on either of those without funds.

The only way you know how to make a point is by dishonestly portraying actions & cherrypicking facts. When you're called on that, you resort to "whiner" & "sissy." It's pathetic.

what about those 50,000 onceler? he promised a withdrawal in 16 months, fact. that is not happening, fact. what is happening mirrors bush's plan, fact. he voted against more funds when bush was president, now requests nearly identical funds, fact.

i only call you a whiner because virtually everytime i mention something about obama you don't like or agree with you jump all over me with terms like, gotcha, liar, dishonesty....etc...

don't you think it ironic that obama would now ask for such a budget when he would not vote for such a budget as senator? at least not always...
