I got the vax because I do not want to get covid. Most of the people I know who got it had mild cases but a few were sick for weeks and one died (he had other serious medical issues however).

Same reason I have gotten the flu shot every year, not because the flu is a hoax but because I don't want to catch it.

Those health safety practices have been common knowledge for a very long time. And have no link to prison style lockdowns and the gov't shutting down small entrepreneurs.
