My experience with gun violence has nothing to do with party affiliation.
Trying to cherry pick a gun suicide from a gun murder is diversionary bullshit. They are both the result of easy access to guns by people who should not possess them. Both are violent. Both are equally dead. All 40,000 of them. Per year.
