There is a broader stroke to notice here....the decline in the quality of the American people over time has been most profound in the top classes......this is partly a consequence of America becoming so corrupt....these days the winners tend to be shit people who gamed the system and had the right friends.....they have no morals or even worse enjoy being shit people.

In the Good Old Days the best people rose to the top.
