A U.S. Army officer is suing two Virginia police officers after a December traffic stop in which the officers drew and pointed their weapons, pepper-sprayed him and used a slang term to suggest he would face execution as he purposefully held both hands aloft in attempts to defuse the situation.

Police in Windsor, in southeast Virginia, have yet to issue any comment about the incident involving second lieutenant Caron Nazario, a Black and Latino man who was in uniform when officers ordered him to exit his Chevrolet Tahoe as he held his hands up through the driver’s side window outside a local gas station.

The two officers, Gutierrez and Crocker, allegedly told Nazario that they would “let this go” if he agreed to remain silent, but that they would punish him with additional charges if he didn’t.

After watching the video, it's clear that the lieutenant was resisting arrest. What did he expect was going to happen???

He wasn't resisting 'arrest'. He was impeding the job Cops are hired to do. (How fucking hard is it to show yourself, resolve any questions the Cops may have, then go about your business?)

That HAS to be bribery and coercion.

I expect the city to settle with 2LT Nazario.

This is another reason why I support body cams on all police. Most police want them too in order to stop frivolous accusations.

It would be stupid for the city of Windsor to let this go to court: “What’s going on is you’re fixin’ to ride the lightning, son,” one replied, using a slang term for the electric chair in a line from the film, "The Green Mile."

“I’m honestly afraid to get out,” Nazario told the officers.

“Yeah, you should be!” one retorted.

That would be real stupid. That would be a Message to EVERYONE that you don't need to cooperate with the Police. What ever is asked of you, ... just stand their and waste their time with "What's going on?".

The Army should demote this guy.

Dude, if that was true, why wasn't 2LT Nazario charged?

The fact remains, like the nitwits at the Insurrection and the murder of George Floyd, the video evidence is damning for the accused police officers.

FWIW, I have a dash cam in my car. It can be rotated if necessary. Everyone should consider getting one for both accidents and police encounters.

The higher end ones use bluetooth or wifi but a standard $50 cam is enough.

Bend the knee for every police officer because the State demands it? Disagreed.

Let's make a wager on the outcome of this fiasco. $20 says the lawsuit is settled out of court and the police officers sidelined and/or reprimanded. Maybe not fired, but certainly this will fuck up their long term careers.

Yeah. That's what they are hired to do. It's their JOB to investigate 'crime'.
As a Citizen, you should help Society by cooperating.

Let's take YOU for example. If you are pulled over by Police, do YOU cooperate ... OR do you try to IMPEDE the Police by every means possible?

Dutch's Reply: 'Black people shouldn't have to obey American Law because ... slavery'.

The Spider-Man Rule applies. These police officers fucked up several ways. Excessive use of force, threats of street execution and the coercion to conceal their crimes in exchange for being let go.

$20 says the officers are disciplined and Nazario wins his lawsuit through a settlement.

No need to lower yourself to being a trollish liar, Jack, since Nazario's race has nothing to do with my view.

OTOH, it appears to have everything to do with the actions of the officers, your views and the views of the Alt-Righties on this thread.
