You quoted your father who said that looting and burning does not compare to loss of life. King wasn't dead

I felt compelled to remind you that the mob murdered an innocent truck driver.

Anything else I can help you with?

You are right. One conviction does not ensure a just society. Criminal justice reform and social justice need to be a national concern.

not reform
start from scratch. law enforcement was born from slave patrols and the criminal justice system supports it.

it is designed to do exactly what it is doing. are you ready for that kind of change?

I keep an open mind, and think that all options should be discussed. Frankly, I have no special expertise, wisdom, or brilliant insights into that kind public policy dialogue. I can just make the case that some kind of fundamental change needs to be discussed and implemented.

From a partisan political perspective there is definitely a big element of irony the number of people who mock Libertarians, call them racist etc. yet for decades they have called for the legalization of drugs, the end of the drug wars, less laws which allow police to abuse their power, fighting against the militarization of the police and the list goes on. And then, for example, you have the Democratic Party in the mid ‘90’s passing a crime bill that increased funding and the militarization of the police as well as putting more people in prison to such an extent that Michelle Alexander wrote a book about it called “The New Jim Crow”. Yet these same folks are now going to bring us serious reform?

and im discussing how and why it was started so we can discuss what change is necessary. it doesnt take special expertise just history books.

the broader system needs to be deconstructed......just saying.

If you're going to inject unrelated comments into a discussion, at least have the decency to follow along until the conclusion. In discussing the King riots, your father incorrectly referred to the loss of everything as fair exchange for some phantom death. The only dead person was the innocent truck driver who the mob murdered.

Maybe that's who your father was referring to?

So you watched MSNBC all day for three weeks?

NO; Court TV you dumb cunt. Yes, I did. The entire thing. That's the fun thing about retirement.

Again, did you see it? Of course you didn't which is why you continue to bloviate like an ignorant uneducated dumbass on steroids.
