Republican lose support in almost all demographics

and most troubling for them and laughable for me is the 18 to 29 yr old college grads who will be future voters. The only group they made gains in are frequent church goers.:clink:

What's interesting was that from 1999 to 2003 it had been the Democrats who had been losing support. You can pretty much trace the change in trend back to 2003 when the US invaded Iraq. Major factors have been Iraq, Katrina, nominating Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court, Advocating the use of Torture, The housing bubble and the Financial crises on Wall Street. Boy when it rains it pours.

The question is that conservative Republicans have a tendency to self destruct by over reaching a conservative agenda as they have historically done 3 times before. Democrats on the other hand just can't seem to stand prosperity and have a tendency to shot them selves in the foot.

When I was that age I was a Democrat- during the Carter years. My look how things have changed! :clink:

Now with Carter II I expect to see a lot of young college grads grow up as well.

Time will tell but the laws of biology are implacable and the Republicans have mortgaged their future over an extreme partisan ideology. Me thinks it Republicans that need to grow up and face reality. The majority of America is fed up with a right wing reactionary political agenda from Republicans.

What an ironic term, describing the Obama Administration, except it should say "mortgaged their childrens' future", then it would be perfect, delicious, irony. :)

And church membership is droping rapidly.!

Which pretty much tells us that people in the US will jump ship on the party that is unpopular at the moment.
 
I hope republicans gain support. Unchecked democrats will be a dissaster. WE need to stop cap and scheme.

Being out of office doesn't let someone off the hook for decisions they made while in office that are having an effect today. In this case maybe Robdawg could give us an example of the banking deregulation that Bush signed that he feels caused today's current problems?
