If you mean guilt by association on a matter dealt with for your benefit by your associates, yeah it's that. The point is if you are going to have your agents meet and otherwise communicate with Russian agents at a time when you are campaigning for the Presidency, suspicions are going linger for a long time afterwards. Best to get used to it.
