Apparently the CDC, who says not very many. Or, are you a science denier?
You didn't understand the sceince you linked to, did you? Because the science says that masks saves lives.

Sooner or later the actual science was going to catch up with some of this stuff.
Probably the most accurate way to put it is Trump facilitated vaccine development and guaranteed supply. The latter goes to your point about India and Europe. The EU, actually.
Lefties aren’t able to concede it but OWS was arguably Trump’s greatest achievement. Historians will be forced to recognize it but in our hyper partisan atmosphere no recognition is forthcoming.
There’s another point the lefties and globalists won’t like: nationalism won the day on vaccine supply. Because of the EU’s layers of bureaucracy they were slow lining contracts and infrastructure up. Boris Johnson didn’t have to deal with that, post-Brexit, so Britain is in better shape than their former EU partners.
Biden claimed ‘there was no plan in place’ when he got installed. That’s damned lie. Without OWS we would be scrapping for vaccines right now instead of facing a surplus due to vaccine hesitancy. Vaccine hesitancy is a happy problem. India and most of Europe would be happy to have it.
But it’s that way because Trump put America and Americans first.
Trump only ever put Trump first.
He was a terrible pandemic President - and he had no plan in place once vaccines were developed and approved. The reason we're over 50% vaccinated right now is 100% Biden.
Why would someone start a thread when the abstract of its only source completely refutes their belief? To cherry pick a contra indicating footnote within?
With advocates like TA who needs cross-x?
Put the bumper sticker across your mouth and nose and maybe you would have something.I'm a Masker. And I'm proud to be a Masker.
Maybe there's money to be made on a bumper sticker there, somewhere.
You didn't understand the sceince you linked to, did you? Because the science says that masks saves lives.
I didn't say they don't save lives, only that they don't save very many and the economic cost of using them outweighs the benefits.
Ok.. what value of life are you using and what value has been lost in the economy due to shutdowns?
Did you factor in the cost of hospitalizations for the increases number of sick?
Did you factor in that the CDC report includes people choosing to mask and social distance which also has an economic effect similar to state orders.
Life is cheap. How many "Starving kids in Africa" do you pay $25 a month to keep from dying? Insurance companies put a price on life all the time. The economy took a hit in the tens, if not hundreds of billions lost in productivity. That far exceeds the cost of hospitalizations which can only be costed where those were in excess of other operations. Remember, many hospitals stopped doing elective procedures and other routine stuff to do China Disease. One illness was displaced by another so the cost was largely a wash.
It seems you don't know anyone in hospital administration. Hospitals lost money as they dealt with this. Covid patients took up beds and ventilators but they didn't require surgery or occupational therapies after surgery.Remember, many hospitals stopped doing elective procedures and other routine stuff to do China Disease. One illness was displaced by another so the cost was largely a wash.

Fucking stupid Republican OP
Trump only ever put Trump first.

Trump set Biden up for the win on vaccines. I’ll pretend I didn’t hear the ‘no plan in place’ bit. The only thing left for Biden to do was to distribute the vaccines *and not screw it up*. I’ll grant that he hasn’t.
OTOH, ‘not screwing up’ doesn’t get a president into the history books.
Biden also gets a C- on leadership for his ‘all over the lot’ messaging. They want to get everyone vaccinated while they are sending the message that their lives aren’t going to change much after they get jabbed.
Biden wears the talisman on Zoom call[?!] but he tries to kill Jimmy Carter’s wife by not wearing it in a small room with the Carter’s.
That’s about as mixed up as it gets.
Apparently the 6 feet social distancing will help you idea was just an idea, and there was never much of any evidence that it was a good idea. It was yet another very costly thing that was done because it sounded good rather than was known to be good.
