22% for former San Diego mayor, Kevin Faulconer
14% for former state rep Doug Oso

But Newsomes’ job approval as governor is 52%, which is higher than the average for all us governors

California citizens tend to be chumps with low standards, which has turned into a disaster. However, citizens not doing their duty has been a huge problem in America for many decades now. We did not get into this JackPot with the citizens doing their duty.
 
Thats good. I dont even know why republicans are interested in running for Governor of California. All that will happen is that you will accomplish nothing and your term will be used as the reason for all the problems of the state.

If Newson needs to be replaced then let a Democrat replace him and fix the states problem if they can.

I'll tell you why this recall started. People in the state were pissed off. Schools were shut down (with Gavin's support) even though the science said it was ok to open them and many other states were doing so (and of course Gavin's kids were all going to class because he sends them to private school). You had Gavin telling people to stay home etc. and then he's seen eating (with lobbyists) at French Laundry indoors while not social distancing. It was total hypocrisy and it pissed people off regardless of their politics. He shut down youth sports when other states were playing and same deal, people were pissed off. You had the extreme shutdown measures that crushed many small businesses. Again, more pissed off people.

He's not going to lose a recall election. This isn't 2003 and there's no unicorn like Arnold ready to sweep in. But even though Democrats completely dominate this state not every person thinks all Democratic politicians are above reproach and don't care what they do in office as long as they have power.
 
The recall vote is a month before the election. What a farce. Repukes are so anemic here they feel they have to do something to justify existing.

Like, what do they hate, the fact that we have nearly fixed covid already or the gigantic budget surplus? Which is it? :cool:
