AT THIS POINT IN TIME they are legally obligated to turn over the routers and passwords. You said there was no subpoena requiring them to turn those things over. You lied.
I was in error. It's a distinction without a difference. The Sheriff's office objected to the subpoena. They are completely within their rights to do so. They did not ignore the subpoena. They did not cite an overbroad objection. In fact they materially complied with everything else, and objected to the request and stated objectively why they objected.
