Bush would go to his ranch in TX, but would work from there. That is a far cry from round tripping in a U.S. Government owned airplane for dinner and a play, and then declining to admit how much it cost. What happened to the promise of transparency?

It may seem like trivia to you, but all these little things that have been going on add up to one BIG monstrous reality: The "change we can believe in" does not exist, never will exist under this SOB, and was never fucking planned to exist in the first place. It's business as usual, or in some cases, just a bit worse. And when Obama is criticized for anything all we hear is "But, but, but BUSH did this and that and the other too!" like a bunch of first graders defending rolling in the mud at recess.

Yes I said the dreaded "Bush did it first". Because look at what he is whining about. Obama took his wife out for dinner and a play. No it isn't going to cost what it cost us because he flies up and flies back. He has a monster detail of the best security in the world. Its part of the job.

This is petty bullshit. Apparently someone saw how much it cost. Transparency is great. But did you really expect a politician to fulfill all his campaign promises? No one is really that gullible.

Bush would work from his ranch. And Obama didn't miss any work. I wouldn't have even answered this post except for the "24 soldiers died in May and this clown is on a date" line of bullshit. This is partisan bullshit. This is the same kind of shit the republicans whined about the democrats doing. So its more of the same. I do not recall the righties making a big deal out of all of Bush's vacation trips/time.

In the economic times we are dealing with, this 'date' was incredibly insensitive. A slap in the face to all of us hard working Americans. When millions of us are struggling with medical bills and utility payments, our president billed us nearly 75k to take the first lady to a show.

I see the worshippers and apologists are already at work though, so i'm bound to be labeled another neocon, hope Obama fails, rightwingnut militia, angry white man racist, redneck......wtfever
