Bin Laden threatens Americans in new tape

CAIRO – Osama bin Laden threatened Americans in a new audio recording aired Wednesday, saying President Barack Obama inflamed hatred toward the U.S. by ordering Pakistan to crack down on militants in Swat Valley and block Islamic law there.

Bin Laden claimed U.S. pressure led to a campaign of "killing, fighting, bombing and destruction" that prompted the exodus of a million Muslims from Swat in northwest Pakistan.

...

"Obama and his administration have sown new seeds to increase hatred and revenge on America," bin Laden said. "The number of these seeds is equal to the number of displaced people from Swat Valley."

So you are against the cracking down against jihadist militants in Pakistan.

Thank you for further discrediting yourself.

Here's a hint. If Osama doesn't like what the president is doing, he's probably doing something right.

You must have some vague awareness of how many times you have said this or something like it.

Obama and Bush are not comparable at all as Presidents - they're not even in the same ballpark. So yeah - I bashed Bush, because he was hopelessly incompetent, in way over his head & pursued policies which worsened the condition of America in almost every respect.

see...told you

bush is somehow evil for increasing terror threats/risks to the US, but obama is ok for doing so...how do you justify that? because you don't agree with the iraq war? fine, you can disagree with iraq war, but then how can you blame bush for increasing terrorist threats and then call that bad, but when obama orders attacks in pakistan, which presumbly you agree with and that increases terror threats, that is good.

its hypocritical.

osama did not like bush in iraq...osama does not like the US in SA or other muslim countries, but obama isn't moving the US out....

so according to your logic, iraq good, US in the ME good....:pke:

and i never said i was against the pakistan movement, it is know wonder your don't know what a generalization is, unfortunately you have no credit to lose, so you can't further discredit yourself

If that is the case, then why is President Obama following alot of those same policies?

You are talking yourself in circles, in some weird, insane attempt to dredge up "hypocrisy."

Pakistan & Iraq are nothing alike, nor are the actions taken or proposed by both Presidents. You are seeking comparison where none exists.

"bush is somehow evil for increasing terror threats/risks to the US, but obama is ok for doing so"

That is an incredibly simplistic statement. Bush's decision to invade Iraq was a boon for terrorist recruitment, and a cause celebre for terrorists worldwide. Check any NIE from the past few years on that one.

I have never personally said Bush is "evil"; he was hopelessly incompetent, and bad at his job, and made a wide variety of terrible decisions that have hurt America, in many ways. It's ludicrous to take a statement from OBL and try to make some sort of linear comparison to Obama, along the lines of "see, they hate him, too...why don't you bash him like you do Bush?

Seriously - you sound infantile with threads like this....

Osama loved Bush in Iraq. It was exactly what he predicted and it was his #1 recruiting tool.

You have to be retarded to think asking Pakistan to police it's territories is at all comparable to invading a threatless, oil-rich middle eastern country.

I disagree with the premise that he is. Obama is not a patsy for PNAC.

It is still the first year of his presidency. There is a lot to learn on the job. I happen to agree with you in that he is not the same as Bush or those that bought him.

no one is comparing iraq to pakistan....only comparing how many dems blasted bush for so called increase of terror threats to america. and as predicted, obama's followers have defended obama's actions, despite his actions increasing terror threats to america.

the claim was that bush's actions made america less safe, rather than more safe....it is now clear obama's actions are doing the same. but obama will be defended, not blasted like bush.

One thing to remember is that we have been hated by many in the Middle East since Eisinhower was president.

Simple, the attack on Iraq, Guantanamo torture and abu Ghraib,I could go on but there is no need.
Obama is responsible for nothing approaching the level of those mistakes in policy which enraged the entire Muslim world and are, to this day, used as terrorist recruiting tools. The Pakistan problems are related to the Afghanistan situation which Obama and the world supported as legitimate retaliation for 9/11, a situation which is further exacerbated by bin Laden's continuing freedom.

Poor gwb, let's hold a benefit.

The height of stupidity.

I judge a President by his actions & policies; not what our enemies say about them. My criticism of Bush was about - guess what - his actions & policies.

You're just incredibly desperate, always, to find this mythical double-standard, this hypocrisy that you seek like some sort of uber-partisan holy grail.

Keep searching, hack.

Are the right wingers siding with OBL? The USA Bad, Osama good. I kinda figured they would do this just becuase they hate America so much? They only love the Republican party?

it exists, just because you cover your eyes and ears does not mean it doesn't exist. you mean not be guilty of the double standard, but you know full well it exists. why bother denying it? all your rants about me being the hack are hollow given your blind defense exhibited here.....

case in point ^

its bad because iraq was bad etc....but its fine if you support the president's actions...double standard. either increasing terror threats is bad or it is not.

and more bush is responsible for abu ghraib....but obama isn't responsible for his plane flying over NY....unreal

"bush is responsible for abu ghraib....but obama isn't responsible for his plane flying over NY....unreal
"

Actually, what is unreal - and I mean, COMPLETELY unreal - is comparing abu ghraib to the plane over NY...
