What Critical Race Theory Teaches

I know. Some posters use the racist charge for almost anything even if it is unrelated to race.

The problem, you see, is that 'race' is a fantasy - there is only one human race nowadays - so it does leave the field sort of wide open to such accusations!

In America what you just said is a racial microaggression. It comes from a white person not wanting to acknowledge race. And the message you are sending with that statement is:

1) denying a person of color's racial/ethnic experience
2) assimilate/acculturate to the dominant culture
3) denying the individual as a racial/cultural being

Weird country! :)

Then they are not being racist but prejudiced. If there is no such thing as race you are perpetuating that misconception by using the term racism.

No - racism is the silly belief that there are currently various races of people. This is encouraged by those who hold all the power and wealth to divide the people who might otherwise work together to demand their own share, and designed to divide them.

In America you are a racist. It is white supremacy to suggest we are all one people (race) as you deny the lived experience of P.O.C. It is through your (white) privilege that you are able to make such a claim.

Edit: (That is not sarcasm, trolling or hyperbole. That is the argument.)

Is that poster white?

"Imagine a guy who hates disabled people builds a hotel, so he bans all disabled people, and builds it in such a way as to specifically make access difficult for them. Years later, he sells the hotel to a new owner who has no problem with disabled people. So you have a hotel where the owner has no problem with the disabled, and neither do any of the staff...however, due to the actions of the previous owner, the hotel is still built in such a way that it doesn't accommodate them (no disabled parking, no ramps, no extra considerations, etc.). So although the people currently running the hotel are not actively discriminating, they are operating a system designed to discriminate, and need to fix it even if they aren't to blame for it.

It's the same with racism. The discriminatory practices of the past still have ramifications today (as you so clearly stated when you talked about redlining), and even if we aren't to blame for them, we must recognize them. That's all CRT is, so it's really hard to see why you would object to it."

I'm kind of impressed that you would WANT people to know how Democrats treated blacks after passage of the 13th. good on you

Oh for fuck's sake...

You know, the Dodgers used to be in Brooklyn, so when they won the World Series last year, did they raise the pennant at Ebbets Field or in Chavez Ravine?

so you DON'T want people to know that Democrats used blacks for labor after the 13th. got it

If I do not believe there are various races of people (except biological differences such as DNA, skeletal structure, and skin color) but I discriminate against Asians does that mean I am not a racist since I do not believe different races exist?

Everyone already knows that, so you're not entering anything new into the discussion, you're just showing that you didn't learn the last 160 years of US history when the parties switched constituencies, just like how the Dodgers switched cities.

You make a lazy unintellectual argument and won't hold yourself to account for it because you're a gigantic piece of shit.
