Madonna probably has political statements as well, but why should we listen to her in a serious manner?
It depends, his show certainly wasn't a comedy show it was punditry.

To me they are either comics or fools to believe in politicians that much.
And they can be entertaining to watch yell, get red in the face and blow spittle.

First off, Gates didn't have to make a public order for anything....N. Korea has been under surveillence for a LONG time now, and our military bases in Hawaii and in the Pacific have not been there all these years twiddling their thumbs.
This is called saber rattling folks....something N. Korea has been doing for a LONG time as well. If they are stupid enough to indeed fire a missle that will endanger US air space, the consequences would be dire for them....especially since China is not exactly voicing 100% back-up for the ailing Kim's regime.
So when Kim wipes the spittle from his mouth, he'll either shit or get off the pot...and Obama will act accordingly.....just ask the surviving family members of those pirates from Sudan.
What cracks me up is that the neocons are mocking Obama for NOT sounding like the impudent asshole that postured before the camera for the last 8 years. The results of the Shrub's posturing? over 34,000 dead or maimed US soldiers, a devastated Iraq that had to be bribed into accepting a gov't that is somewhat partial to the theological mindset that rules neighboring Iran.....with Bin Ladin allegedly still on the run, the Taliban on the rise in Afghanistan, and our military stretched thin (not to mention the whole mess contributing to the near bankruptcy of America).
But neocons don't really think these things through....nor do they accept the reality of recent history. It's the PNAC ideology and the "us versus them" mentality is what fuels them...until the wind whistles up their shorts and they realize Cheney or Limbaugh or Newt are NOT going to spring for a new pair of pants.
