When did Senator Rand Paul become such an ass hole?

He isn't. Fauci is an idiot that knows nothing about the field he's supervising. He's little more than a government management bureaucrat that's paid way too much money to do virtually nothing. I don't blame Fauci for funding gain of function research in Wuhan. I'd bet the only thing he did was sign off on the funding paperwork in a perfunctory manner because some other favored bureaucrat told him it was a good idea.

Personally, at this point if Fauci told us the sun would rise in the East tomorrow morning, I'd check with three other, better, sources before accepting what he said. The man's a retard.

Sure and you believe Dr. Dotard and a dentist.

"So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it's ultraviolet or just a very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn't been checked because of the testing," Trump said, speaking to Bryan during the briefing. "And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you're going to test that, too."

"I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that."

I liked Rand too. He seemed to be going over the edge after the 2012 election like a lot of republicans had been doing since 2008. Corruption of the party, mostly with money, and they seemed to just sell out. Like the recent ex-President, all of Congress seems to be turning into reality TV show contestants.

The RepubliQans in Congress seem to be turning into FoxNews "Televangelists".

The funniest thing is when the Far Right tries to do Damage Control on his moronic disinfectant comment. Here's one comment I pulled from another political forum:

Trump never told anyone to inject anything. Never told anyone to ingest anything. He was touting the science of disinfectants as an example of the way people solve problems. It was CNN that said inject bleach. It was Pelosi who said chlorox. You and your cohorts got embarrassed big time by those false claims as another 1MM viewers fled CNN in disgust.

Yeah, if the above is true, then why did Trump say he was being 'sarcastic' the following day?

Just proof Rand isn't a Libertarian, but has his nose firmly up Trump's ass.

He along with Senator Linda Graham made a cynical calculation that dropping to their knees and worshipping Trump would pay electoral and fund raising dividends for the foreseeable future.

Translation: Rand, like Graham, sold their honor for money.

Agreed.

And why is he obsessed with framing Dr. Fauci? Is it because he wouldn't propagate Trump's lies about the Pandemic? Is he on Trump's shit list and Paul is acting like one of Trump's goons.

I used to like Rand because he was the closest thing to a libertarian in Congress, but he's gone Full-Rudy since he started kissing Trump's ring.

Where are they hiding? I don’t see any.

What I’m seeing is a whole lot of deflection on Fauci’s behalf.

Trump.

I trust the truth will come out in another year or two about all the backroom bullshit of all parties involved in the US response to the COVID pandemic, something you yourself ridiculed and likened to a normal flu season.

What does Trump have to do with the exchange between Paul and Fauci?

Nothing. Liberals believe that if they say Trump during a tirade folks will believe them more often than not. They're partially right, other liberals will assume that they are right and not look at what was said. It's basically a confirmation bias. If someone says anyone at all loves him some Trump, then their perceived bias is confirmed and activated, and they no longer have to apply any sort of critical thinking to the remaining conversation.
